Once the decision had been taken to digitise the information read how they uses GeoExpress to make images available to their staff.

GIS is key to Oil & Gas Pipeline Planning

Planning, designing and managing oil & gas pipelines should be perfect applications for GIS systems, yet very few are specifically designed for this purpose. Coler & Colantonio is a US-based specialist engineering company that has developed the Intrepid suite of modular software designed by pipeline engineers for use by pipeline managers.

GeoPDF is Key to Public Safety

To inform prospective users as to the benefits of the GeoPDF format, Quarry One Eleven wrote an article for the GeOlympics magazine.

TerraGo Technologies created the GeoPDF format to ensure that geospatial information can be shared with everyone, irrespective of their experience of using this data. The data format is now used by organisations all over the World and has been key to sharing information for some of the highest profile public events.

The Crown Estate is currently indentifying suitable offshore wind farm sites and GIS will be a key tool in making these decisions.
